This was installed in a custom PC, built to operate as a music recording apparatus. Running Reaper DAW, with a Universal Audio Volt 276 interface, and a host of guitar plug ins. This unit doesn’t even flinch when in use for my purposes. When web browsing, music recording, watching YouTube, etc. I rarely ever hear the fans ramp up. Perfect, and probably overkill for my purposes, but I look at it as future proofing.
This is a great graphics card for the price point. I I built a new PC, so this is my first experience with a good graphics card. my previous PC had a GT 1660 so this quite an upgrade. It runs super quiet in my system and runs nice and cool when playing a wide variety of games from simulator games and first-person shooters to RPG’s. Frame rates run at a good rate (I haven’t actually measured them) but I don’t really notice any frame drops or screen tearing when playing games. I mostly play MSFS Flight Simulator 2024 and Star War’s Outlaws and occasionally games from the Tomb Raider series. They all run smoothly on this card. It’s build quality feels solid and well-constructed. It also looks great in my PC build. I would highly recommend this card if you are looking for a solid graphics card for a good price.
By far my favorite purchase ever made on Amazon. I bought it about a year and a half ago and I’m still loving it. Don’t overpay for it though, graphics cards can be insanely overpriced right now. Around 300 is the sweet spot. It’s not the best at ray-tracing but it has good raster performance for the price. It’s also suuuuper cool, as in temperature. I’ve even pushed this thing past it’s limits, changing the clocks to 3.25ghz (175w), while boosting memory speeds by 250mhz, and it hasn’t gone past 52c. No melted cables or connections either.Paired with an i5-12600kf, and pcie gen4, here’s some average framerates I get at 1080p high (according to Afterburner):Warzone: 102fpsOblivion Remastered: 71fpsGrounded: 133fpsMinecraft(Optifine): 880fpsMarvel Rivals: 97fpsSo yeah, I would recommend using some upscaling in most modern titles. It performs really well with upscaling, but I wanted to share some numbers without using it for others to decide for themselves. These are from using custom boost clocks, which isn’t something everyone will do. So shave off about 8-10% from those numbers for out-of-the-box performance. Some extra pros/cons:It’s PCIE4 x8. That makes it half the bandwidth of higher tier cards, but it’s not powerful enough to need it because PCIE4 (and now 5) are quite fast. But that allows mid-low tier cpu’s to use more m.2 storage, since processors like mine can only run 20 pcie lanes at most (and m.2 nvme ssd’s use 4 pcie lanes).Lightweight and short, so it doesn’t need any additional brackets or braces for support. Just the screws work perfect, no visible sag at all. Conclusion:After a year and a half of daily use the temps remain cool. It has support for all API’s you could need, and very fast AI cores for upscaling makes it a very viable 1080p card, even for Unreal 5 games. Very flexible for overclocking since tdp is below the wattage it can pull from the socket. Still has support for 32-bit CUDA functions, so older games that use PhysX engine will perform well. By far, this is the best version of the RTX 4060, and you can take that to the bank!
I upgraded to the RTX 5060 and the difference is amazing. In games like Fortnite and CS2 I can easily hit over 200 FPS with stable performance, and titles that use ray tracing look stunning thanks to DLSS 3 support. The card runs cool and quiet, even under heavy load, which makes a huge difference during long sessions. For productivity, it also shines. Video editing and rendering times are noticeably faster compared to my old GPU. Power efficiency is solid as well, so I don’t need to worry about heat or noise.Overall, it’s a reliable and powerful GPU that delivers great value for both gamers and creators. Highly recommended.
Huge step up from a 4070 Ti. Not really speed as much as smoothing things out. Movement in Halo and Cyperbunk smoothed out noticeably. Both are pretty hard on a GPU. What made more difference though was upgrading to a Ryzen 7 5700x3d with the new card. Together they are a new computer. It screams now.
Nice looking cooler, performs well. Probably my favorite 5060 model thats close to the $300 MSRP. There are definitely better GPUs than the 5060 (The 16gb 9060 XT is an much better choice for example) but if you need a 5060 this would be the one to get.
This is a great all-around card for the price! It delivers solid performance, reliability, and great value for the money. Whether you’re using it for gaming, content creation, or everyday computing, it’s fast and handles tasks smoothly without breaking the bank. One of the best things about this card is its compact size, which allows it to fit in most cases without issues. This makes it an easy choice for various builds, and it has become my go-to card for customer builds due to its dependability and performance-to-price ratio. The build quality is excellent, and it runs cool and quiet under load. Installation was quick and hassle-free, and the drivers were easy to set up. It provides great performance for the price point, making it a fantastic choice for those looking for a balance of power and affordability.Highly recommended for anyone needing a dependable and cost-effective GPU!
Oh my…
Upgraded my alienware aurora r9 from a gtx 1660 to this and i am just amazed how technology changes… runs way cooler and performance is out of this world if youve been using older tech. I finally have the PC i intended to have. Also no issues with any compatibility i just ran geforce on login and it grabbed the new drivers…windows also offered some up via popup. Enjoy!
