Getting Started

Unbox the X4Cube console, power adapter, HDMI cable, and Xbox‑style wireless controller with its USB dongle
Connect the HDMI cable from the X4Cube to an available HDMI port on your TV or monitor
Insert the controller’s USB dongle into any USB port on the console
Plug in the power adapter, press the Power button, and the LED will light up
To connect the controller, press the circular Home button at the top center — the controller will vibrate when paired
On first startup, you’ll see a Steam login screen
Use the controller to select the Wi‑Fi icon in the top‑right corner, choose your network, and enter your password if needed
Press B to return to the login screen, then sign in to your existing Steam account or create a new one using the button on the left (you can complete account setup through the Steam mobile app or website if needed)

How to Navigate

These simple controls let you move through menus, launch games, and return to Steam or the home screen without needing a keyboard or mouse.

Use either the D‑Pad or the left joystick to move around menus
A button to select, and B button to go back
In Steam, pressing the Home button opens the quick menu, where you can scroll to “Exit Game” to close any Steam or RetroDeck title (select Yes to confirm)
In RetroDeck, pressing the two small buttons to the left and right of the Home button simultaneously exits a RetroDeck game and returns you to the main console/game selection screen
