We set up two ASUS ROG Rapture GT-AX11000 Pro routers at our property using the AiMesh feature, and it’s been nothing short of amazing. The mesh network works flawlessly—seamless connectivity throughout the entire house, even in spots where WiFi used to struggle. One of the biggest perks? WiFi calling. We live in an area with spotty cell service, and this setup has been a lifesaver. Calls are crystal clear, with zero drops or delays, no matter where we are in the house. As for performance, it’s everything you’d expect from a gaming router and more. Speeds are lightning fast, and we’ve had no issues handling multiple devices streaming, gaming, and working at the same time. The 10G and 2.5G ports are a great touch for wired connections, especially for gaming or transferring large files.Setup was straightforward, and the ASUS app made it easy to customize the network exactly how we wanted it. Plus, the subscription-free network security gives extra peace of mind—no hidden fees, just solid protection. If you’re looking for a powerful, reliable router for gaming, streaming, or even just improving connectivity in areas with bad cell reception, this one is worth every penny. Highly recommend, especially for mesh setups!

Beautiful looking spider machineWas able to go from an asus ac1900 to this one and doubled the speed on wifi. The user interface is slick and fast and much more responsive than any other router interface i have ever used. I can get sustained speed everywhere in a 3 story home,so the router is no slackerThe reason for not enough stars is this: running into some issues with the 6ghz band. I do have a ax210ngw on the desktop but it’s not detecting the 6ghz band. So need more investigation on cause of this. Its hard to investigate the cause other than getting another wifi 6e client which are by far few. Maybe I’ll snag my friends samsung s21 in a couple of days and will be able to actually test it on 6ghz—-Edit—-Update 2/5/2020On a 1Gbps line, I can consistently get about 700-800 Mbps 3 story up (router is on the basement) on a DFS channel for an AX device. AC devices are no slouches either and now top at 500-600 Mbps 3 story up. On non-DFS channels I top around 450-550 Mbps so that is not bad either. Guess I don’t need to buy a Mesh network!AX210 doesn’t work on windows. Found a thread on intel forums that it might need a windows update later on for activating 6ghz (thread name: Intel AX210 can’t create 6GHz hotspot ). Also found that linux 5.11 should support 6Ghz so tried it out with Ubuntu and 5.11rc6. Unfortunately though the AP is detected connection fails so I guess its more wait and watch with linux too. Atleast the Ax210 saw the 6ghz AP. So yay my device is not broken. And my friend bought a regular S21 so that testing avenue is gone for the time being.Edit Nov 20216Ghz band works great on a Pixel 6 Pro. The range is shorter than the 5Ghz band and the phone shows lower signal strength but the 6ghz bandwidth speed in my house is usually more than what I get with the 5GhzOther than that, the perfect router. I use remote desktop from my top story laptop to my computer in the basement and use Zoom video and audio and both latency and bandwidth are great enough that I can use Zoom effectively. love the router!

I bought the same model for myself at Best Buy. Seeing how it helped my household, I bought one for my boyfriend since he was having issues at his house. Since he installed it, his connection speeds while gaming have definitely improved, especially since he has numerous people connected on multiple devices. Overall, very reliable; had no issues. Setup was very easy as well since it was all in the manual then into the app to finish. The size of this thing caught us off guard so I do recommend finding a suitable place big enough for this.

Its a router. However, there are a number of issues with its interface and the capabilities it allows you to configure at the same time. When several devices are using the wifi at the same time, playing FB games or streaming on random apps, the wired machines, which you would expect to have higher network reliability, struggle and suffer severely from an unstable connection. When trying to configure QoS to boost the priority of the wired devices in order to alleviate this, the software restricts the other QoS settings to only automatic mode, which disables all bandwidth allowances you have previously set up for all wireless and other network devices, meaning these two features are wholly conflicting and unusable together where other routers have no issue. The traffic type prioritization on auto mode is opaque and nonadjustable, and when it is configured, the wireless management of the router becomes slow and unresponsive.Parental controls and AI protections do not gleam what each checkbox or category means, each of which have blurry definitions and network filtering segregation, making this feature much less effective on devices used by children middle-aged or elderly who do not use a VPN. The firewall only allows a small set of domain name filter matches, making it nearly impossible, and even when configured correctly it is not reliable, to block advertising tracking and malware domains using this feature that made it past the AI, parental, adguard DNS, and on-end-device blocking systems which were configured. There are also a number of issues with having many/most of the useful protections enabled but withdrawing consent for private data, meaning that if you want to use most or any of the primary features on the router, you have to opt-in to their services and submit your router’s activity to the cloud. When using Guest Networks in order to allow random users or untrusted family members’ devices onto the inner management sector of the WiFi, the primary unrestricted wireless networks for the 2.4, 5, and ~6GHz (doesn’t even work at the same time as the others) channels are still on in the background without broadcasting SSID. There is no way to disable these interfaces, restrict their bandwidth or adjust their priority, or limit what internal management access they have with the firmware or upstream modem/bridge device. Adding the necessary guest networks makes the router much less stable and speedy, reducing the overall benefit of buying this router altogether.I had a lot of hopes when buying this for around $400+, that it would be able to be configured for the range of systems I needed it for, but instead, the experience with it has been far from exemplary, and I have had to totally reset the router half a dozen times due to corruption and software malfunction over the period I’ve had it for. There are few to no updates released for this router as of writing, including beta update channels, and the issues have not gone away. I don’t think I will ever buy another Asus router in the future, unless these usability and stability problems are addressed, but it is unlikely they will. (Will edit in future if this changes)2025 Update: It is still a terrible router. A dot used in an explicit input field has bricked it. Its a shame this thing is too expensive to set on fire.

Powerful router with strong, consistent WiFi performance across all bands
Upgraded from the legendary ASUS RT-AX86U and this router has been an absolute monster. Easy to setup and updated the firmware, no issues and seems the myriad of problems from the early days have been largely resolved, at least in my experience so far after a couple of months of usage. The WiFi signal across all bands are consistently strong throughout the house just on its own, excellent speeds and stability and the router has never been hot. I did read before buying that the router tends to overheat, so have been keeping an eye on that but can’t say that the router has ever been hotter than normal operational temperatures. In my opinion, absolutely worth giving this router a shot if you’re looking to upgrade into WiFi 7 that still has very strong 5 GHz performance as well. I did try a few other WiFi 7 routers before this one and can safely say this one performed the best out of them all in the end.

Imponente

Better than what I was expecting
It’s overkill (and expansive) for my personal usage but I particularly like the application to leverage the usb drive and reduce the ping for games. The wifi coverage is just amazing. The signal stay full bars everywhere in my cottage house and everywhere in the yard.

Top tier device
You get what you paid for so no hassle extreme fast and responsive nothing to say much everything is perfect
